Catching Up With Old Friends

So after sharing with everyone on my social network that I was going down to Miami where I grew up, I  received a couple of invites to hang out with the friends I grew up with. At seeing these invitations and the thought of catching up with old friends I find myself so grateful for having these tools at my disposal. I am excited to be able to spend time with old friends and I don't think that if it wasn't for the use of Web 2.0 tools that I would be able to get in touch with them. After taking this class, I find myself feeling awe at thought of connecting with others so easily, does anybody else feel that way?

  1. Absolutely! I love being able to catch up with friends from high school that I haven't seen in years. I remember when I first joined facebook, how great it felt to have all these old friends sending me welcomes and messages.
By the way, I've enjoyed talking with you this semester Luis. I hope to see you in other classes. Good luck!

  2. I feel that way also! Our lives our so busy with stuff, that its impossible to stay in touch with others using more traditional methods (phone, f2f, writing letters). Even though there is nothing like being together with a good friend or family member, face to face, being able to communicate using the Web 2.0 tools keeps us connected. Then when we do get a chance to visit, you won't have that feeling, "hey stranger, how come you never write, or call me?"

Best wishes to you in all you do. Its been a great class not only because of the topic, but also because of the people.
