Tragedy and Web 2.0

So this morning when I woke up I checked my phone which has a live feed of update statuses from my friends on FaceBook and I was reading several about "prayers and condolences" being sent out to the "victims" in Colorado. Needless to say, I was concerned and confused so I looked more into it and was reading the different conversations people were having on FaceBook about it and the different links people were posting to get more information on it, as well as Camera Phone footage of the incident (posted above) that was uploaded from the scene on YouTube (Citizen Journalism). It saddened me to read the details of this tragedy and my thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families as they confront the loss of family, friends, and neighbors, and I believe that we must stand together with them in the challenging hours and days to come. I also believe that Web 2.0 Communities are a great way of reaching out to those affected.
